I was wondering if the spindles off my 1992 civic dx hatchback are the same as a 1999 civic Si spindle. I am asking because one of the bolts on the bottom ball joint on my new front brakes from a 1999 civic si is smashed. I know that the 1999 civic Si spindle bolts directly up to my 1992 civic, and I heard that the rotor from the 1999 si bolts right up to the 1992 spindle. However I was wondering if the caliper from the 1999 civic si will bolt up to the 1992 civic spindle. Sorry about the long post.

Thanks for any responses.

Just measure the distance between the mounting bolts.

I measured and they both seem to be 5 and 1/2 inches from center to center.
Is that all that matters?

Well, the thickness of the disc will matter, but that should be compensated by the calipers. Worse case scenerio is using washers to take up some slack, but if the offset of the wheels between the stock 99 and the 92-95 (40mm) is the same, I don't see aproblem.
