hey first time caller long time listner, i have a dumb question, to swap a b series (ls, si, gsr) into a del sol with a 1.5l pos engine do i have to swap:
mounts(or use stock mounts) harness(or run vtec to seperate switch) axles(or are they the same) spindals(if i have to change axles) shifter linkage........ i did a b16a1 swap into my 91 hatch and had to swap everything i just listed. also if i was to swap an ex motor+trans would i need anny extras? thanks for all your help............ |

for a b-series swap into a sol you can use stock mounts from a 94+ integra, 99-00 civic si, or a combo of both depending on the engine you're swapping. if you're swapping a vtec engine in (b16, gsr) then you'll need to run a few wires for vtec, you can either wire them into the harness or run them stright to the ecu (i believe). you'll need to replace the axles, the easiest to find/use are any from a 94+ teg. and for shift linkage... you'll need one from a del sol vtec model. the linkage from a s or si WILL NOT work.

I know this is an old thread, but do I need the TQ rod and Shift rod from the Vtec model or just the shift rod?
