yeah i have a B18a in my civic but....i could get my hands on a B18b for real cheap and i am just wondering.....i know the specs of the B18a and B18b and i just want to know what is exactly the difference between the early B18a and B18b to have a different horsepower and torque rating.....does the B18b have a better flowing head or something? And can i swap a B18c head on my B18a block? Is there a difference between the B18a and B18b that would make an Ls/Vtec swap harder?.....oh and the B18 in my civic is from a 90 integra....yeah i know....

I pulled it from our reference section, B take heed to this post... good info here...

92b16vx, the B18A1 is a US motor. The B18B was Japanese woot, obviously now that you know that.

***EDIT - Sorry 92b16vx***

I'm not Calesta, and I knew the B17A1 was US only, but never paid attention to the B18A1.

i have a spare b18a1 from a 1990 teg, would it be worth keeping and dropping in to 94+ teg after a all motor rebuild, or just rebuild the b18b?
