Hello everyone:
I have an eg hatch, i've been doing some research on motor swaps, and i've decided to go with the b18b.. i have a few questions: http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...age&item=30007 http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...age&item=30023 whats the difference between the above long blocks? is it just that one is OBD II and the other OBDI and, the valve cover looks a little bit different? can you do ls/vtec on the older one? I'm leaning towards the older one (94-95) here's a list of items i think i need to make the swap complete: P74 ecu b-series tranny & shift linkage axles i can use my mounts and wiring(right?) what else am i gonna need? thanks! |

Well the first one you have is not a longblock, its a complete change over. The second one is a obd1 longblock. To make it an easy swap,i would go with the 94-95 since you have a eg hatch which is obd1.Your also going to need some mounts,im not sure of the different combonation of stock mounts for eg.Also you CAN do LS-VTEC on either one.
