d16 block w/ d15 head

would a jdm d15b vtec head work with my d16 block? i've been looking for info on this mini me swap, but so far i haven't found as much detail as i want.

awesome. what about ecu? the head comes with a p2p and the obd1 to obd2 harness. or should i just buy a p28?

is it a obd1 head ? if so just use the p28 or p08 but i would just go p28

i'm not sure. i'll have to find out tomorrow. i'm guessing obd1 though.

is the mini me worth it? i'm not trying to get crazy hp gains but i'm gonna end up buying a new timing belt and dizzy and i'm having issues with this motor so i figured i'll just do the swap.

its hard to say i mean if your not gona have much money in it then why not but if your gona be dropping a bit then no, not worth it. i mean you can make a sohc fast but it takes a lot of money.

not looking to drop a ton of cash in to it. i figured i'd spend as much fixing it as doing a swap so might as well upgrade. i'm getting the ex tranny too so it should make a nice difference.

yeah, if the head is needing to be replaced might as well upgrade

will a d15b2 head work on a d16a6 block i need to know because i need to get my rex on the road and what will i need to do to make it work plz help

You should start your own thread but yes, d15b2 head casting is the same as d16a6. Just swap the cam, distributor, and intake manifold.

what are the differences with this swap and a y8 swap? are there any big differences or can i follow the y8 write up on jdm universe?
