ok i got a question. if i swap a d16z6 from a 92-95 civic ex into a 90-91 hatch or rex and i use the dx or si tranny of the 90-91 will i need to get new motor mounts?

no. you can re-use your mounts or the z6 mounts. but you need to use a cable tranny

You need to save the drivers side mount from the original engine and the L bracket that it is attached to it. Use the tranny in the car.
