I've currently got a 92 JDM Si VTEC 'lude which I'm thinking of using to build a H22 Civic hatch next year and have a few questions.
1. Which varient of EG Civic is best to use? I don't have any real knowledge of Civics TBH. 2. I'm in the UK so it'll be RHD- will this prove any problem? 3. I'm gonna use the Prelude calipers, is it worth/possible to use the 'lude M/C too? 4. What kind of weight is a H22 EG? 5. Think I'm gonna go with the HCP mounts- are these recommened? Any others worth considering? I was gonna fabricate some up myself but it seems the engine position is fairly critical. 6. I've seen you can use a mix/match of differwnt Honda axels, seeing as I already have the Prelude parts what bits other parts do I need to complete the axel assembly? I've probably got more questions but can't remember what they are at the minute! Found quite a bit when I searched too. Mark. |

probably best to get them from hasport. i heard the enjo mounts have problems with hood clearance in a h22 eg.

Hasports come in at $599 plus shipping, I was hoping for something a little cheaper TBH! Plus the rear engine braket is listed separate at $75 too?
Surely you need all of them? Don't suppose anyone has some accurate drawings for the mounts do they? So any EG at all? Am I right in thinking the DX is carb'd? Would I have to source a fuel pump too? Has anyone been sucessful with the Enjo mounts? ahhvtec- 9003? thanks for the help so far guys ![]() |

Ahh I thought some of the basic models were carb'd. I'll check to see if its a UKDM thing.
I prefer the EG TBH but if a EK came up at the right price I could be tempted. I've read somewhere EGs run a better axel angle than the EKs though- any truth in that? |

you can't use integra axels for an h22 swap. The only way to do that is to make hybrid axels by taking h or f series axels and b series axels and swapping out the inner side of the b series axel with the h series. This is a very nasty job, any body who had opened up the boot on a used axel and got axel grease all over them will back me up on this. Also these hybrids are very prone to reliability problems from what i hear. Best thing to do is to buy custom axels from hasport or Raxles ect. Good luck.

Whoever told you those axels are 90-93 integra's is nuts. My buddy heard the same thing on honda-tech and tried it on his eg hatch with h22 and it didn't work. Also 90-93 integra axels are the same as 94-01 except the halfshaft is different. That means that the passenger side axel of any integra is the same and would imply that the passenger side axel of any h series would be the same as any b series which is not true. The spline count on the H series axel is different than that of the b series and that is why they are not interchangeable.

Cheers for the help guys!
So if I get some 90-93 Teg axles and 90-93 Accord half shaft it'll be sweet? Will they take the 200 bhp okay? I'm willing to try them before shelling out for the custom ones TBH. I'm gonna look for a EG after New Year, think I'm gonna go with an ESi- engine/interior will be more resaleable. Plus I'm fairly sure they come with rear discs as standard. So has anyone used the Prelude M/C on a EG? |
