Angry Finally get it running and...

93 civic civic b16 sir obd1 motor/tranny
So I have had my car running for a week and blew the tranny since my friend forgot to put in fluid... then I throw in another tranny and drive it for 2 days until a hole appears in it the size of a baseball... Finally get another tranny installed today, double check everything I take it out on the road and baby it through first and second then I hit the gas and rap it up to 7g's real quick. (pop) Backfire??? Then the car dies, So while I am still moving I try and start it back up and it won't start back up. It's trying to turn over it sounds like, but wont. I checked the ground on the starter and every other wire I could think of, but couldn't find anything other than the o2 sensor was loose. The car still won't start up. The timing belt is still tight and looks good... maybe I blew my motor??? Any ideas???

Have you looked at the spark plugs? That can give you a good clue to see what happened to the engine. If they look good, try a compression test or leak down test.

Hope that helps!

Good job, the reason I asked is: we had a similar issue and it was the distributor.
