| Member | Does anyone know the correct way to determine if you IAC valve is bad? I've been told 3 different answers. 1. Chilton manual states that "when you unplug the IAC harness, you should have a noticeable drop in engine/idle speed". 2. A mechanic told me "when you unplug the harness, the idle should stabalize to whatever rpm it was at when you unplugged it" 3. One of the tech articles on HONDASWAP says "when you unplug the harness your idle speed should rise". WTF????? When I unplugged mine (after reaching operating temp) it stabalized like the mechanic said. But now I'm not sure what the hell that means!!! |
