JDM B16 in eg: vtec problem
Car: 95 cx hatch
Motor: JDM B16a SIR II (stock I/H/E) ECU: chipped p28So I got the motor in this weekend, didnt hook up vtec, threw 4 codes. 20 - electrical load 21 - vtec solenoid 22 - vtec pressure 36 - traction control I hooked it up last night, only got code 20, went for a test drive and I didnt feel it kick in. I pulled over and checked the cells, got codes 20, 22, 36. Today, i took out the vtec pressure pin, put it back in and again, only code 20. I went for a test and didnt feel it once again, checked the cells and this time, codes 20, 21, 36. Grounds have been checked, my oil level, both look good. (Ive read that vtec wont engage if there are other codes. Is this true??) i think if code 20 is eliminated, it will work. Im kinda out of ideas though now. Can someone steer me in the right direction?? |

wow.. all those different codes.. something seems wrong.. did you wire the knock sensor or ground it at least.. i know vtec wont work unless you you've done that

i'd double check that you have the right plugs on the right sensors.. you may have mixed them up on accident or forgot one.. i know i have
