| Junior Member | i know that in the US: 1) the swap must be done with parts of the same year or newer 2) the swap must pass a visual examination but in canada, what are the legal issues surrounding engine swapping? tnx for your help |

| Senior Member | to my knolege (this is the 3rd engine swap i have done), there is none, as long as the vehicle will pass a provincial safety. I have even confessed to the insurance companies and they don't care. The only issue i am aware of is if the vehicle is damaged or stolen, it is very hard to recover any of the $$$ that you invested. I live in Manitoba, i think it may depend on provincial laws. Then again i am not a lawyer. And hey, no stupid emission laws here baby!!!!!!! Manitoba that is.....but we have that shitty winter stuff.........but NO emission laws.........HA!!!
