I've been chasing this problem for awhile now. I have a 95 LS, with a 16A2 head on it, ran by a jdm p30 ecu.

What happens is this. When I first start the car, it idles at about 1200rpm. After the car warms up, it idle gos up to betwen 1800 to 2100 rpm. It seems to be constant idle at X rpm once it has chosen a value to idle at. This however is subject to change within that range on various starts. It seems to have to do with outside air temperature. colder= higher. However, its odd to me that on initial start up it seems to be within the normal cold idle range.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Mike

try looking for a vaccume leak (maybe your iac is out of adjustment, maybe if u had ur TB ported, it could have been messed up) but to look for normal vaccum leaks just take a piece of vaccum tubing and put one end to ur ear and one end to you possible leak spots. ull know when its a leak

90 firebird 350/th350 ran 13.6, dual exhaust 2.5in, hooker headers, holly 750 carb, edelbrock intake manifold, but unfortunatly i snaped the floor boards on a lauch on slicks, and spun a bearing on the same run.... A very sad day.. now parting out

the new project to go along with my civic is an 81 z28 10pt cage, fuelcell, ladderbar rear suspenion, putting a 383 trickflow heads je pistons, forged bottom end, this motor is going to be turbo, im not sure of all the specs cause the car is still in process. the car needs paint inside and out(anyone know anybody with the hookup for paint)
