Im running b16a sir II, when vtec kicks in there is no power gain.....I had a good friend of mine drive it and he said I was right....."there is no pwer gain or loss" It does sound strong though......(normal vtec) What could this be?

take your valve cover off and look at the vtec cam lobe and see whats up.

thats cool you can hear it engage @ 5800 rpms everytime and I guess it just sounds like vtec(you know what I am saying?

This is my first b16 and first vtec period but I ve heard others......Shit i dont know it just sounds the same as othe vtec mot0rs

Your fuel or Air or engine temp madness might be out of wack? I don't no though! Never had a car that had vtec in it!! But I heard vtec can be affected by insufficient air and fuel!!

on that note it could be a faulty O2 sensor.

I am not running hot from what i can see on my temp guage....even when the car gets to normal temp it still is the same as I have been driving it for an hour...

I also heard the type of oil can be messing it up is that true?

make sure the vtec control solenoid is working. differnt oil types really shouldn't hurt any thing.

This may sound stupied but what octane rating have you been putting in? You might of just got some bad gas?

Shit the first tank I ran 93 then my wife put 87 YUCK!!! I Honestly dont rember but It still feels the same as before.
