buy the fake, because as soon as you curb it .. it wont hurt so much to see it damaged because you didnt spend an ass load of money for the Mugen name..

Urethane only on front lips and bumpers. I'd only go urethane for any and all body kit stuff personally. Fiberglass splinters if you sneeze too hard.. Anything else will get raped the first time you / the lady friend bumps a curb with it.

Urethane is what your stock bumper is made out of. That stuff can take a beating. ABS is better than fiberglass, as it will flex instead of just shattering. But once it flexes to a certain point, it'll snap/crack too. You can bend a urethane bumper in half and it'll pop back to its original shape as long as you don't crease it. ABS/fiberglass would be trash after such a feat.

thanks alot now i know what i am positively gonna get imma get the Abs or Urethane Mugen style, because i would definitely feel better knowing im scrapping the not so good lip. and if the paint comes out nicely enough, nobody would tell the difference <----- one happy camper

What about when using aero parts on a track car??? The way the other materials flex makes me think they wouldn't provide the aero stability of fiberglass, but I guess it comes down to what you want to use your car for... i myself would get the flexer ....but i had a slight curiosity..

I don't think it would flex much unless there was a splitter attached to it. Even then, if brackets were used that hold it to the bumper/frame it wouldn't be an issue. I'd assume cost/weight is the reason they go with fiberglass.
