okay i bought a gsr motor(JDM) and it had a flex plate on it so it was an automatic and i bought a gsr throttle cable and its to short to fit the throttle bracket. So does the auto one a have a different throttle bracket or something?

shouldnt, your prob has nothing to do with the tranny...wut did you put the motor into?

I had the same problem with my ls, but I just kinda rigged it up to work properly... On the right side of the engine compartment you have the stock civic bracket, just make it so the line is tight enough and clamp it, tape it, whatever you can do to make it stay in that place. It good for me.

i put it into an integra, i bought the gsr throttle cable and it still doesnt fit it is too short for the bracket

how short is it? if its only a couple of inches you could cut the bracket or fabricate a new one
