Default type r cams in b16?

hey i have b16 in my eg and i just got type r cams, will just putting those in help me? do i have to do anything else, springs retainers? and what will i be able to rev to? and what ecu would be best? PS , im runnin a 50 shot wet on it

yes.. they'll help quite a bit.. did you get CTR or ITR cams?? and for them to be effective you'll the the springs and retainers... not sure on how high you can rev

werd definitely replace springs and retainers first. either OEM ITR or aftermarket.

it's not a nessecity to change out the springs and retainers with Type R cams assuming you are staying with the stock B16 redline of 8200. Any higher, then at least Type R springs and retainers will be needed. I suggest going with the valvetrain upgrade so you can rev out the Type R cams where they like to be revved to
