i have a 96 gsr, what transmission fluid should i put in??? tranny fluid or engine oil??? some people said i could put 10-30 engine oil

10 - 30 or 10 - 40 there both about the same

Honda MTF .. or GM Synchromesh if you have minor grinds at all

Ive always ran 10-30 mobile 1 In my trannys.

just get some from honda, but if not castrol motor oil

though your supposed to use gear oil?? thats what the book says

then the book is wrong, seriously...
I suggest Honda MTF but if you decide to go with 10-30 motor oil, no matter what brand you use, do NOT use synthetic.

cuz i always used motor oil. an when my buddy did his swap the book for the motor says gear oil
