| Member | ok guys and honda techs...............i just did the swap i have a d16z6 head with a d16y8 head and i am currently using a dizzy from a d15b7 motor (my car is a 1993 honda civic ex it came with a d15b7 (canada) i am getting a code 4 code 20 and i think code 36 i dont know wtf code 36 is??? i am using a p28 ecu i get the effect and codes even when i use my p08 ecu i think its the dizzy causing the problems any advice please reply thank you [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif[/img] [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif[/img] [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif[/img] |

Are you sure it's 36 and not 45? |

| Member | ok my timing is dead ON i am goin 2 try and switch dizzy ohhh my wire harness has 2 plugs that go into the dizzy one plug has like 6 wires the other plug has 2 wires (black and blue) the dizzy that came with the motor(d16y8 head)has only 1 plug any ideas (i am using the dizzy off my old motor d15b7) how can i check the signal for the crank position sensor....what color wire is it???? mayb i have a bad wire....lol thank guys |

| Member | [ok guys i switched the dizzy today and replaced it with another dizzy from a d15b7(AND YES IT FITS ON A D16Y8 HEAD) AND EVERYTHING WORKS FINE the motor doesnt pull strong as it should so i am goin 2 triple check the timing and reset it!!!!!!! i will let you know hoe it works out |
