VX hatch with a LS/V is worth 3k easy. The rest is icing on the cake.

So yes, absolutely.

sounds good to me. if the body's in decent condition (ie nothing major) i might even go as high as something like 3500 for that car. If it's got body damage (or seams ripping on the edge of the seats) id start at about 2500 see if you can haggle him from there.

Depends on who you ask... I wouldn't pay 3k for someone elses build unless I know who put it together. That's just me though...

Who built the motor? Was it someone reputable or was it someone who may have not sized the correct bearings or gotten the ring gap right? Go through that thing with a fine tooth comb. Ask him to compression test it. Look for smoking when you're driving it hard. I know people who have bought cars with built motors and then gotten effed a month down the road when the rod bearings went out.

I'd say it's definitely worth it as long as everything checks out.

I would ask why the front end was replaced, and take if for a test drive. Make sure you "open it up" a few times to make sure the motor seems healthy. But it seems like its worth 3k.

Check out the core support area. Looks as if it has been in a front end collision. Check to make sure everything lines up decent in the front end, I'd be a little sketchy about that buy. On the plus side, it is only 3k and the engine alone is worth that provided it was assembled correctly.

Not only only do you think you'll run 12's with nothing but bolt on skunk2 parts but you're also going to waste money on parts that were meant for an all motor build then go turbo? I guess... it's your money...
