i'm looking for all the info on this swap that i can. found alot actually. just havent found a write or anything about it into the eg chassis. i have a 93 dx hatch 5spd hydro tranny. stock motor. heard that the tranny should bolt right up? and what about wiring? everything plug and play? i know i'm going to need the ecu and such. jsut trying to get everything sorted out. thanx to all who help

If you stick with the SOHC ZC non-VTEC, you can basically just drop it in and run without any wiring changes.. if you want to. The transmission, mounts and pretty much everything else will bolt right up. The fuel map may be wrong, but it'll be close- and if you have the time and cash, you can use Crome or Uberdata (or Hondata) to flash the ECU to something more suitable to that engine.

SOHC ZC VTEC (basically a D16Z6) can work too, just add VTEC wiring and an ECU that's built for it.

DOHC ZC will take a little more work.

going with the zc cause its different and i just like to be that person and its on the cheap end of things. looking at the DOHC zc. thanks for your replies :)

Yeah- it's not worth your time if you're thinking of dropping it into an OBD1 car. The D16Z6 will be just as good, cheaper to find and install, and has much better aftermarket support.
