Default K20a3

I have a 2002 civic si, that im looking to turbo charge. I have located a build motor (a3) and the price is 1200. its a used junkyard motor, but it runs and has about half the mileage on it that my current motor has. Is this a fair price or should i keep looking? Just not sure about condition, because i havent actually SEEN the motor yet.

That sounds pretty fair to me. If they're open to negotiation I'd probably try and get it for a grand.

the a2 is 11:1 compression and the build im centering around was off my own motor originally. more Ivtec stages and a turbo means more time and tuning on a dyno.

Im swapping the internals out anyway, since they share the same block, it shouldn't matter. All the A2's i can find in the area are roughly 3000+. If i get the yard a3 i have a month to get 1200, no questions or debating. I might just wait. Not sure tho. im hoping to have the engine part of the build done by mid-end of summer

yea if your just gona build it anyhow get the a3 and a k20a2 for 3000+ is just crazy super crazy. you can get them cheaper than that. there was a guy on here not to long ago selling a k20a type r for 1700. but you can also get a k24 long block for 800 bucks

If you want to talk schematics of engines, its and accord euro r engine. and the car can go until the internals start to come apart at 9200 rpm on his car. His car also only wieghs 2200 lbs with him in it. does anybody know any trans people? I think id like to tweak the gearing in the car eventually.
