Hello everyone I'm new.
I've got an '02 EM2 with a D17A2 and I'm looking to swap it out since I basically trashed it. Yeah, I know. Hard to believe right? Well, It was an accident, and yes, I'd love to fix it but if it's going to cost me load anyways, I may as well swap it. Anyways, I was reading about the K24 Accord/Element engine swapping into our vehicles with a K20A3 5-spd tranny with the K20A2 cylinder head. Sometimes they use TSX pistons, and sometimes not, but Honda Tuning has a great 11:1 compression N/A version of something like this running ~250hp at the wheels. I'd just like to see 200hp. It requires a Hasport mount, but what doesn't? Any ideas? I don't have a ton of cash to buy anything for the most part, but I know I can get it if I grab one part at a time. I want in on this. Anyone on this board tried this swap? |

I know people have- but the only one I know personally is the guy that had the very first one done out in California. I couldn't tell you the shop name offhand, but I went to school with the dude for a very long time.
The swap is fairly expensive, and quite a few shops won't even touch the K swaps because of the cost. You might want to add up all the numbers in your head and see if buying another car might be a better choice than building such an expensive engine setup. I don't want to discourage you- just understand that a K24/K20A2 setup can get pretty damn expensive. __________________

About the same difficulty as a K20, but it's taller and you have to deal with the electronic throttle.
