This new forum was created to contain technical information about swapping engines into the Honda Fit, Jazz and City. These cars have been available in the world market for quite a few years, so there is plenty of established tech buzz about them floating around the internet on sites outside the USA.
Given that Spoon has already modified a Fit / Jazz with light engine upgrades and heavy suspension/weight upgrades- and matched an NSX around a track with it- I think that there is some serious performance potential available within this chassis. Mugen has already fitted a K20 engine into the GD chassis, so the world knows that K swaps are possible. Engines ranging from 1.2L through to 1.5L are used in the GS worldwide, but the US Domestic Market will only get the current top performance 1.5L VTEC L15A engine with 109hp. With a weight under 2400 pounds, a well sorted suspension, fairly debugged chassis and the ability to run a K block, the Fit / Jazz / City could easily become the successor to the 4/5/6G Civic when it comes to budget Honda tuning in the US. Enjoy the forum! -Calesta __________________
