Rep Power: 239 | If that's the case then the build that you mentioned would probably work out pretty good for you. I'm assuming you're talking about the "all motor LS monster" article in the FAQ section? |

| Member | yea, and maybe later on a 50 shot, i would really like to got forced induction but that just to much to maintain. with diffrent rods and a vfac i could make some more power? b/c on the write up it says they used the oem ls rods and no engine management Last edited by soto2635; 04-15-2008 at 08:05 PM. |

Rep Power: 239 | Yeah, you could definitely make more power with a good tune. I would recommend getting an ECU chipped and then custom-tuned on a dyno rather than using an AFC though... |

Rep Power: 239 | It would consist of buying an ECU with a programmable chip and having the car tuned on a dyno by a professional tuner. I'm sure that sounds really expensive, but honestly it probably won't run you much more than the cost of an AFC (if you're buying one new) and it will be a much better and more complete tuning solution than a piggyback ever will... |

Rep Power: 239 | I'd probably skip Hondata, and just go with one of the free tuning programs like Crome. Just call up some of your local import tuning shops and see what they recommend. As for the pulley, I don't really have much experience with them honestly...maybe somebody else can chip in? |

Rep Power: 239 | Discussing PSI numbers is somewhat irrelevant until you decide what kind of turbo you want to use. A person could do higher PSI on a small turbo or lower PSI on a bigger turbo and have similar results... |

| new to the game | Hey new to the site and planning a head job done on a b18b1 block *bad valve seals are the cause for it* , but I hear ls-vtec is the way to go. Which head should I use if I go v-tec and how much should I be looking to spend for one (including computer/harness) I looked on E-bay and it didn't help at all. I'm not sure if I'm going to go ls-vtec or stay with the original head. What do ya'll think? |

Rep Power: 239 | Thanks for jacking this man's thread. Seriously, if you want some answers then go start your own thread, don't butt in on somebody else's. That's how it works around here. And FYI, do some damn research before asking questions like this. There's about a billion LS/VTEC threads on this site and several write-ups in the FAQ section...
