auto tranny won't shift after B18 swap
Just swapped in a B18 into 91 integra with auto. Original engine blew. New engine works great but auto transmission now will not shift out of 1st. I can manually go to 2nd (sometimes).
I thought maybe the transmission took damage so we just swapped that out today and SAME THING. All the posting I see talk about something with the transmission itself, but that is impossible at this point. I am 100% sure this transmission is perfect. I could really use some assistance on this one. |

your shift cable is probably kinked or damaged. take off the center console and look for anything unusual. take a look in the underside of the car, follow the shifter cable routing and look for damage or cracks to the shifter cable itself.
