Default do want 12's

Ok so I recntly bought a 2000 integra gs, completely stock. I am looking for 12's just like the title said. What kind of numbers am I going to need to put down? It is going o be boosted and not some kind of all motor build so would the stock b18b suffice? or should I go for a b18c1 and swap in some low compression pistons and rock ti from there? OBV i am going to need a Lsd trannie but can someone point me in the direction of what else I am going to need? thanks

A blank check and a reputable shop. That is what you will need.

Build the bottom end solid. Sleeves, forged rods, forged pistons, perfectly balanced rotating assembly. Slap on a stock head with upgraded valve springs. Boost the everloving shit out of it.

You can run 12s on a d16, b16, b18a, b, c, h22, whatever you want. Just build the crap out of the bottom end.

You could hit high 12's on the stock b18b, boosted with a properly sized turbo, with a really good tune, a gsr or b16 tranny, and some slicks. Although, even with a good tune, the stock internals will eventually shit the bed.

But you seem to wanna do this the more reliable way so yeah, build that bad boy. For 12's, the build doesn't have to be too extensive but as always, it's better to be safe than sorry.

Also, remember that the lower compression you go, the more boost you'll need to make that power back. Plus, if this is going to be your daily driver, too low of a compression will make your car feel sluggish when putting around town.

Are you planning on buying all the parts over the course of a few years, and then assembling everything at once? If you want to go turbo then you don't just add one part here and there as you can afford it, you carefully plan out your setup, purchase the necessary parts, get everything installed, and then get it tuned so that it doesn't blow up on you...

I am going to use this car as a daily driver and have a spare b18b on hand for pennies if I need so i was planning on just building up the spare engine and swapping ti in when I have enough to complete it. I Know I will need to do everything basically at once and i know a majority of the time will be spent saving money but I am relitively new to hondas and turbos in general so i will spend this time doing simple things and reading trying to enlightin myself and doing things like brake upgrades , strut and sway bars. while figuring out exactly what parts I need.

Ah, okay. Well honestly I think that's the absolute best case scenario (having a spare engine and building it up outside of the car). That's exactly the way I would choose to do it...

Not 100% accurate, and there are many other factors to consider, but this should give you a rough idea.

If you need to ask the difference between the OBD's, then I think you need to do a little more research before you think you are going to build a 12 second Honda.

OBD stands for On Board Diagnostic.

Well, since Im not sure myself and the info if needed by the OP, 300 horse should be plenty to get the teg into the 12's shouldnt it?

I would aim for 400 hp approx. Of course that would probably get you in the 12s with a street setup. You're also approaching the limits of your block that way too.
