so i just found out the exact reason why my head gasket blew. number 2 head stud (middle stud closer to you) ripped out the threading from the block. previous owner i guess had tightened them too much. who knows. i called arp and they said the studs are supposed to be hand tight into the block and torqued to 85 foot pounds. as i started to take all the head studs out one of them stripped where the allen wrench goes in to take the studs out of the block. so anyone got just 1 good arp 11mm bolt they wanna sell me. i got a paypal account. im not wanting to spend 100 bucks for a whole new kit. stud is for a b18a1
