54 and 74 will/could be fixed with a new distributor. Code 20 needs to be fixed asap as well as code 91.

I'm sorry, but seriously? You come on here and say "hey guys, my car is running like shit, please help!", and you already know that it has a bunch of error codes? Did you ever think about possibly fixing whatever the problems indicated by the codes are? Your car is in limp mode. You need to fix whatever issues it's having, and then turn off the CELs...

Pretty much any code can cause your car to go into limp mode. For code 91, first off make sure your gas tank cap is present and fastened tightly. Code 74 is a misfire, so yes, I'd start with the ignition system there...

Default alright

i think for the gas cap though its code 90 but you think its just my gas cap that is throwing the code? and i though obd1 doesnt look for that sensor.,and as for the misfire, i just got a new coil and capand rotor, you think maybe my wires are to big someone said that.

The list here on our site says code 91 is for the gas tank pressure sensor, so I'm thinking that's probably correct. I'm not sure whether OBD1 looks for it or not, but can't hurt to check. As for the plug wires, you certainly don't need bigger ones, but they're not going to hurt anything. Did you replace your plugs when you did the wires?

91 could also be fixed with a new gas cap. It's not dead set that a bad gas cap will only trigger a code 90. Code 20 is ELD... Now read my sig and do some searching on how to fix your problems. This website is for people who want to LEARN, not just get answers...

Did you change the ignitor along with the coil? That could be part of your misfire problem as well...

ELD is Electronic Load Detector, you can assume how serious it is lol...

91, depending on what the actual problem is, can lead to things like fuel pump failure...

i thought 91 meant bad fuel pump so i put a whole new sending unit in , how do i fix these problems though? and i have a misfiring in cyl 4 you think maybe its a leaking injector? when i go to blimp the gas it wants to die, its worse then before.

it's really hard to tell without being able to see and hear the car in person. There could be a number of problems. Get rid of the codes one at a time. That's your best bet at this point...

ELD sometimes means that your alternator is on it's way out. There's other things too that's why I told you to search. That way you can try one thing at a time and have all the info ready for the next thing to try if what you tried the first time didn't work. It's easier than trying one suggestion and coming back for another suggestion each time something doesn't work...

alright, well it kinda sounds like my alternator makes a whinin sound now, but say if i reset my ecu and just put the car on but not started it still bringsup ELD so thats why i think its fuse box. and i hav a obd2 alt. is there anyway i could switch the plugs for obd1 and oh yeah as for the boggin problem i have a code sayin that one cyl is mis firing, so my guess is that the injector is messed up and thats why i get bad gas mileage and its bogs??? is this a good assumption
