Default skunk 2 intake manifold

i have a skunk 2 intake manifold for my 99 ls....and my motor only has 85k on it...and is like brand new...but any way...if i put it on...how much horse power should i get ....and is there anything else i could upgrade to get the full potential out of it ?

Larger throttle body, bigger injectors, high flow fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator. I would also put a stronger ignition coil in to make sure I burn the full mixture. Thats what I did. You looking at about 20-30 more horses at the motor.

are you serious?!?!?larger throttle body, yes.. injectors, no.. fuel rail, no.. fpr, not necessary... ignition coil, no.. Honda has one of the best factory ignition systems.. cams will give you the most power with a tune

with all that money you will be spending you could get a vtec head and see the same gains, as well as have much more N/A potential.

but with all that money you spend on the vtec head and other components necessary to do the head swap you could have a decent turbo setup and blow away the ls/vtec

could you really get a "relaible" turbo setup for the cost of a head swap?

bigger throttle body and cams..........you've already started in helping the motor breathe better with the exhaust and intake. you can save the ignition for later. or you get a complete head package from gude performance about $1400.00 and it guarantees you 45-50 hp to the wheels. people may wonder why i keep pushing their products, its because i have it and its proven.

Idk maybe like 8-10whp... It doesn't seem like alot, but will definately be noticable on the butt dyno. Get a set of good cams along with and you will see some great gains.

you wont gain any where near 8-10 whp from an intake manifold.. with cams and throttle body you can gain that much from the S2 IM.. remember, mods work together.. and to get the full potential out of the part.. you'd need to upgrade other things.. i'm guessing 2-4 whp just from the manifold

cam gears dont do anything other than allow you to advance or retard or timing easier.. and you'll need camshafts, not just one.. Crower makes decent camshafts for the b18a/b

Crower Cams & Equipment - Honda Camshafts - B18A/B DOHC

64-65mm TB is plenty for N/A.. for boost the 70mm would be good..

find an obd2 b16 throttle body and send it to Maxbore.com throttle body boring service .. it'll cost $150 at most for the throttle body and boring service.. no need to spend $300+ on a throttle body
