hey everyone i just did a built n/a b16a into my 1990 automatic ls.. and i did the lsd b16 5speed... ya its faster then i thought. still not enough bottom end i was thinking putting a bulit gsr or b20 block on... what do you guys think? im in need of TQ!

I would really suggest putting on a turbo/supercharger especially since you already have an LSD trans.. you'll be able to put the power to the ground. Even with a B20 you're not going to put out over 160 ft lbs torque to the flywheel, and the only way you're going to get any kind of real low end power is with boost. Put a Jackson/Vortech charger or a turbo kit and you'll make tons more power than any built block, and you will spend less money in the long run.

yeah it has the most torque with thinner cylinder walls. its a b18 bored over......the gsr block can handle more revolutions than the b20 can. trust me!!!

this is true your gona still want more torque even with a crv/vtec..

Yeah I'm not saying you're wrong by any means.. if he is staying N/A your post was right on I just had the feeling he was looking for more than what that could give him. N/A the best low end power is to make a crv/vtec like you said..

ya i love my motor and all the b16 has a bulit bottom end... still cant change what it is tho... still a b16... i would like to stay n/a becuase of very high compersion.. i would live to go CrVtec but i would like to rip apart my freshy built motor and make a new motor out of something that does damn good for a built b16 and get something in the end thats a lil better then i had... and i was looking at a vertech super charger kit... the would be a fix for my TQ problem....

you don't wanna go supper charger man they take power to make power you will make more power going boost trust me
