i have the b18a1 head and i want to swap it with a vtec version. do i need to swap the ecu or ne thing else. thx

you don't need to do too much. if you swap valve covers and ecus you are golden. you can swap axles if you want, it will help with less rotational mass.

do you mean ls vtec or just putting the ls head back on?
