Around here gas is $3.75, I easily probably put in $250 of gas a week in the work truck, covered by the company of course. The worst expense I've heard of is from the company that we get sand from, they spend an average of $1000 a day to run concrete trucks.

i've never had more car anxiety than right now - i'm just hoping my 245k mile bone stock 91 crx will not take a dump in the next few months, because i cannot afford to fill up *my* jeep and use it as the DD. luckily my manager is open to 'Green IT' initiatives and i'm working from home 2 days a week now (saving 200 miles a week commute and lots of cash).

i'm not happy with the way things are at all. but god i'm happy with my rex - 44mpg going 80 with the AC on ftw!!

$4.57 for premium was what I saw today...

105 octane is only $5.25 here in Reno...There is a place just down the road from all the casinos downtown...

110 octane is $6.85/gal. It's leaded and you can't pump it into your vehicle--gas cans only...

I didn't see what the price was for the bio-diesel, but they sell it there as well. Diesel around here was $4.89/gal. this morning...

3.85/gl, ~$80 tp fill my Jeep which I DD. Work in NY again and the commute is ~40 miles each way. My truck gets right around 20 MPG, i only work part time, so one tank will make it through the week. 18 bucks a day in tolls is a big . I'm s;,dy sbout to jusy quit again, cause I'm almost losing money with the commute.

Filled up the Saturn Tuesday PM for $64, the Civic Wednesday AM for $37. Both at 4.06. Wednesday afternoon gas dropped to 3.95, Fuck. Thursday morning up to 4.15. Not feeling so bad anymore. I drive approximately 10 miles round trip to work, wife about 30. Civic = 30 mpg, Aura about 20. Have friends that drive full size trucks that spend 100+ per fill up. 1 has a fuel expense for him and his wife of 850 per month between work, school, and picking up kids from daycare. We traded an 05 Trailblazer EXT in when we got the Aura, that thing got 15 around town and had a 26 gallon tank. I thought it was outrageous to fill it up when gas was $2.60 a gallon.

115 RON race gas (leaded) is 4€/l here. That's almost $20/gal.

My gas on base costs $4.39/gal for premium. I'm seriously going to start tuning my car to run on the cheap stuff. Last year it was $2.20.

The gas prices have gone up so quickly here that I'm going to get a motorcycle license, at the cost of close to $1500, and a motorcycle, to the tune of $7500, and I'll still come out ahead in 9 months.

Fuck, I put $54 into my volvo 3 weeks ago, and almost shit my pants cuz i had to re fuel yesterday.

And the reason I almost shit is because I got laid off from my job for 3 weeks. Why did I get laid off? Because Pepsi can't afford to pay their drivers. So they lay off 5 merchandisers. Now, instead of having product on the shelf but little back stock, they have no product on the shelf, and backstock out the wazoo.

Way to go Pepsi, and high fives all around for the economy.

What I think is funny is that diesel fuel is a bi-product of refining crude oil into gasoline and it costs more than gasoline. Pay more for the shit they scrape off the side of the tanks? Doesnt make sense to me. My friend was telling me that there is a set limit that a barrel of oil can go for and that we are really close to that, and once the cap is reached that the prices can only go beack down. I dont know if there is much truth to that though.

Other way around. Gasoline was the bi-product of diesel refining.

Re he heel lee? I thought that there was way more steps in refining gasoline from crude as apposed to desiel.

If diesel takes less steps, doesn't it make more sense that diesel was the initial desired product? Heh.

Diesel is basicly Kerosene, remember that and you'll go a long way. I won't get into how it compares to JP-8 or JP-4.

(And it's "opposed". )

gasoline requires much more refinement than desel does.
