There was a major earthquake in japan a few hours ago and there has been a Tsunami report generated as per: here Tsunamis start off as small ocean waves that are created when a under-ocean earthquake occurs. Typically untill they hit landfall, they are about 6 or so inches high. hardly detectable. Tsunamis only become "super gigantic waves" when they hit the ideal shorelines, then then raise up many many feet into the air and can cause massive destruction. Tsunamis travel at or around 500 miles per hour. | Banned | i live 3 miles from the beach.  good thing is Manhattan Beach and El Segundo which are directly in front of me are full of hills and whatnot. i hope it does come ashore over here....that would be so fucking cool to watch. |
