How did the director/studio come to the conclusion it should be a comedy? Isnt it about crazy paranormal military shit?

Im down for just about any comedy. The American Pie style humor is wearing a little old. Not really a big fan of romantic comedies either.

just an update on this....2 hours of my life I'm not getting back.

It's one of those movies where the funniest parts are shown in the previews.

I'll give it a solid 6 on a 1-10 scale.

yeah more or less, although this one is more outside the box than the typical potty jokes and such you would get from the guys you mentioned. A couple Jedi references, which were funny just because Ewan McGregor is in it.

I think the last good Farrell movie was Old School.

I really had higher hopes for this one though. I generally like George Clooney's movies, and there were some funny parts, but the general opinion of the guys I saw it with was that it was average.

We determined we would rather have seen Zombieland.

It's based on a book, but it is clearly a satire.
