I heard about this, never really checked to see if it was true.

I also heard that residents are entitled to a certain amount of land. Of course, all the 'good' land is taken, so new residents are likely to get a nice stretch of tundra...

So...$1654.00...hmmm...what could you buy for $1654.00....forced induction before next summer?

On disability or on the Alaskan dividends?

You pay taxes on disability if your employer contributed (paid for) your disability insurance. You do not pay taxes on disability if you were the sole contributor of your disability insurance.

You pay taxes on your employers contribution if you paid a partial amount of disability.

Yes, it's taxed.
The dividend fund is made from taxes paid by oil companies (Oil companies pay ALL the state tax, so Alaskans only pay federal taxes). Then the Fed. taxes the dividend that was made of taxes to begin with
