Well I just got back from a week in the Outer Banks. I noticed a lot of people had tattoos. More than I remember from any onther time I've been there. So I was just curious to how mainstream it was becoming. Just vote in the poll I guess and list what you have. if any.

I have a memorial on my right rib cage and an almost faded one on my inner lip with my fraternity letters. And I plan to get an ambigram on my left ribs and a symbol on my left shoulder blade.

but i have one.. its 4 Fs that make a cross and its right below my elbow on the backside of my forearm.. .. my next will most likely be on the inside of my bicep taking up the whole area.. not sure exactly what yet.. but i know where its going

I have none. Not that I'm against them, I just haven't found anything that I would want on my body for the rest of my life.

Except for an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other shoulder.. Taken straight from a mossimo shirt from 1990? Under the angel it says "Think Twice" Under the devil it says "Do it, man!"

Then I run into trust issues. We have no good tatoo artists around here, and all the ink I see that has been done locally looks like total blurry, messy, faded ass. No way I'd do it locally, and I don't know anyone who knows a good artist. And, I never trust anyone that says "this dude does great work, hes a friend of mine!"

I also thought about doing a Hibiscus stripe that goes all the way up one side of my chest, over my shoulder, and down my back, across my ass, and down half of my leg.. but that would be a bit much for a first tattoo..

I went to the ribs for my first tattoo. Guy thought I was nuts. Then confirmed that believe when I got my lip.

We can add piercings too. I have my left eyebrow pierced. Might be getting something else pierced soon but idk, a girl just wants me to go with her and therefore I need to get one. Whatever I'll prob get something. Piercings aren't final like tattoos.

i have 1/2" gauges in my ears.. used to a 6 gauge through my tongue, then i realized i hated the thing

my ribs cost $150+tip and I can only see it completely in the mirror as well. I still love it.

ive got 3 tattoos. upper left arm, right wrist, and one on my right side that goes up my ribcage and chest, over the shoulder, down the back and down to my elbow. its not yet finished. gotta get it filled in more.
2 eyebrow and tongue rings. had the snakebites but the guy that pierced them was a fucking moron and i had to take them both out. will get again soon.

Their old H will always mean Honda to me, that's all that matters. It won't be in a place anyone will notice, really. I'd rather have them ask me about it. Then I can tell the story. I don't care what others think, I care what it represents to me.

I'll stick with the Honda logo.

two piercings on the bottom lip.

its a pain in the ass when you first get them. i got them both at once (mistake) couldnt drink out of anything but a straw for two weeks. spilling coke all over myself when i tried. but i get to look forward to all of that again soon. (fucking retard piercer)

If I were ever to get ink'd, the location of the tat would have to be discrete enough that the appearance would not hold myself back in a business setting.

The last thing I need is to have to overcome more biases from an older generation that is not so in touch with the dealings of younger generations.

With that said, I have always wanted a tattoo but I was never able to commit. I've been thinking "no regrets" in tiny text (gothic) on my ankle or somewhere else to serve as a permanent reminder to live both for the moment and myself.

I have 4, zodiac sign (leo) on my left shoulder, Dagger that everyone thinks is a cross on my righht arm with a scroll wrapped around it that says "Trust No Bitch", the state of Georgia on my back, the buildings of down town ATL at the top of the state because the dumbass that did the tat the 1st time mispelled Southern. The original tat was just the outline of GA wi the words Southern above and Comfort on the bottom. SInce Southern was spelt "Sothern" I had to get another tat to cover up the spelling. Gotta get some more work done to it before I can say it's completley done. Saving my left arm to get a portrait of my 1st 2 kids.

Well said. I obviously won't want it to hamper getting a job in an office setting, my piercings have been in for a while so taking them out is done out of respect and no one can really tell I have my tongue pierced. I once forgot and no one noticed for 6 months that I even had it. As for the tattoo, I don't want it in a visible area mainly because I think it looks tacky. I'd want it somewhere private, because to me, the tattoo is very personal in and of itself. I want it for myself, not to show off. I think your idea is great. It's not what it looks like or where it is, it's what it symbolizes to you and what it brings back to you.

all of my tats are easily covered. i mainly wear long sleeved button ups. so im all covered. two have meaning, one was the best i saw when i first turned 18. i like it though. and i still have alot of work to do, have 3 now, want only 1 total.
