exactly what i was thinking....
i emailed the person and they said it has just blown....and no it wasnt from driving.... so me thinks that it isnt completely fooked ![]() i was also looking at this eBay Australia: 1988 HONDA CRX COUPE BLACK 5 SPEED MANUAL NEW ENGINE (item 120132153380, end time 25-Jun-07 21:15:00 AEST) but its a little out of my region.... and it will be sold unregistered so i will be fucked if i want to drive it back home i emailed him and he says he wants atleast 5k for it registered....i know for a fact if i did buy it first thing id be doing is throwing away the chromies right in front of him and driving away |

Why the hell would you want a honda beat? Don't those things have like 3hp?
Now, if you could get your paws on a S360, S500, S600, or S800.. I'm sure everyone at hondaswap would drool themselves stupid. I've been hunting one for years. (They are available here, but for rediculously high prices) Well, available as in, a few have been shipped over by private parties. __________________

there around 10k here anyway and thats in good condition.... ive been in one.... and i know this car wouldnt be done quickly....but it would be in budget for a crx.. wouldnt cost me more than 5k to get it to me get to engine fixed/replaced and have rego done.... which is what a crx would probably cost me and that would be with high milleage |

The S's did around 100mph top speed.. But they are freakin awesome.
The 1970 s-800 could handle 10k rpms. ![]() Gawd, I'd love to have one. __________________

ahh well depends....
getting it registered can be a bitch but at the same time can be simple... ill put it in simple forms first and if need be expand it later if you have a new car (like i go buy a brand new civic) i walk into the rta with the green slip and its registered if i walk in with a car that has been sitting on a front lawn for a year or so... i need to go get it repaired in almost new condition (yeah right) and get a blue slip a green slip and i think another slip to get it registered.... AND INSURANCE IN AUSTRALIA IS NECESSARY |

That just means you don't have to feel bad about swapping in a F20C

hell yeah, I'd actually prefer it that way. Ever try to source parts for an Sxxx? They are non-existant. Hell, the cars are hard enough to find.
If I ever get one, I'd swap the driveline for something honda USDM though, because if anything ever broke, it'd be down for months while you tried to source the parts to fix it. __________________

i think that guy is another one of those typical dug up from the ground stories you may hear about here in aus...
the coutry areas here are really remote so people buy cars like our little friend above on ebay and buy huge amounts of parts when they buy it then years and years later there still working or havnt been using in 20something years and run extremely well... my stepfathers sister has a holden commadore that has done 1.2million kilometers :P reason why there called dug up from the ground is because they look as dirty as fuck when there sold but run like they were made yesterday __________________
