Default Iverson, heard this one the radio this morning

iverson has offered to pay all funeral costs for this guy
kinda sad story

Quote:
On June 24, 2003, a group of teens approached Johnson while he was waiting for a trolley and demanded he give up the Iverson jersey he was wearing. When he refused, Johnson was shot in the back of the neck by Robert Ferguson, who is serving a prison sentence on attempted murder charges. The shooting left Johnson paralyzed, in a wheelchair and eventually on a ventilator. Last week, the ventilator failed, and Johnson suffered irreparable brain damage. The family chose to take him off it.

are you talking about the shooter being the sports fanatic or the kid not wanting to give up his jersey? because the shooter didn't do it because he was a basketball fan, he did it because he wanted something nice and expensive (yes jerseys are pretty costly) I can bet you dollars to cents that sports had anything to do with it from the shooters perspective. Now if you are talking about the victim, then yeah, like i said, it was a stupid move and from his perspective he didn't want to give up his like for sports...well , his like for Iverson for that matter.
