Rep Power: 4 | i hate that I don't know anyone who is into cars as much as i am atleast not into Hondas. I have a friend with a sick supercharged xrunner truck and he got me into all this so i can work on my car like i have always wanted. But being the only car I have and being broke I'm scared of messing with it but I will anyway to calm my soul. So anyway, I've been looking around and i'm finding out that it's not such a good idea to turbo a vtech engine apparently because both the vtech system and a turbo add compression and so would not work well with each other. So I thought I should bring it up since i see people trying to go vtech and so I can learn from what you more knowledgeable people know. |

Rep Power: 391 | Actually, boost and VTEC work great together. Welcome to HondaSwap by the way... and I doubt that you can't find anyone around Austin that's into Hondas as much as you are, especially if you call VTEC "vtech." |

Rep Power: 30 | Boost needs a good tune period. If you have boost and a good tune with vtec then your car will be fast(er) and reliable. If you have a non vtec and boost without a good tune then it will be just as bad as vtec with no tune. Last edited by wikedeye; 09-01-2008 at 05:20 PM. |

| is lol'ing @ you | On clubeg6.com the general tone is that VTEC and boost hate each other. But, then again thats not the only piece of bad info on that site. |
