These are some of the newer ones, JDM and EDM share the same codes, so it may help oh yea, türer is door.

Civic EP1 3-türer 1,4L 90ps 01-
Civic EP2 3-türer 1,6L 110ps 01-
Civic EP3 Type R 2,0L i-Vtec 200ps 01-
Civic EU7 5-türer 1,4L 90ps 01-
Civic EU8 5-türer 1,6L 110ps 01-
Civic EM2 Coupe 1,7L 120ps 01-
Civic EM2 Coupe 1,7L 125ps 01-

EF1 is the 88-91 Civic 3 door/sedans
EF2 is the 88-91 Civic 3 door/sedans
EF3 is the 88-91 Civic Si and Si extra 3 door.
But they also have E and EE before to help designate higher models marked with the same 3 character code, for example the E-EF3 and the EE-EF3.

EF9 is the SiR/SiRII

There is also the EF5 which is the 4wd sedans.
EF8 is the JDM 89-91 CR-X SIR and EE8 is the EDM VTi.

EF7 CR-X SI has the DOHC ZC as well as EF3 Civic 3 door.

EDM EG5 has the D16Z6 same as the Si, the JDM version is a EG4 and has the D15B SOHC vtec.

The 92-95 EH1's still had the DOHC and SOHC ZC's

Ok that is the edit for now.

One more tiny bit of info: The natural gas powered Civic GX uses a D17A7 engine. The one bit of info that stuck with me from the Chicago auto show.
