Hey guys, I am kinda of new to racing, but I have been watching clips from NOPI on SpeedTV and YouTube. Has anyone been to a NOPI event? They look awesome. I really want to get out to one.

NOPI is a bunch of ricer shit for tv. if you want to look at shiny cars and a few ugly chicks, then go ahead. most people here only go to competitive events and such.

Buy yourself a mustang/other v8 car and save yourself years of embarrassment (of going through the ricer phase) and a hole in your wallet from the $1500 you got suckered into shelling out for a CAI and Exhaust that adds a whopping 5hp to your 1.6 shitbox.

Unless you are seriously mechanically inclined, be prepared to spend thousands of dollars to "race out" your import to the point where it will be quick enough and you wont get smoked by some 'tard in a hyundai tiburon.

yes, there will always be exceptions to the rule. for the most part, you know what i'm talking about. it's all commercial. more fashion than function. out of the 1,000 cars there, i'm sure a couple are decent.

i havent showed on grass at nopi yet...lol...always been put on assphault...but yea...i didnt show this year though...just went cuz i got in for free with a media pass...werd!

Uhhh...

I'm not a "racer."

My car is not lowered, I don't got a 10" dia. fartcan exhaust, there are no stickers on my car nor intake on my engine.

I just live under the bridge and come out every once in a while to bless the members of this site with my insightful comments, overall comraderie and generally good-will towards men.

Not too many "racers" here. Not that most of us dont race, but once you mature some about the import scene, youll see you dont really want to be associated with those people. OFcourse, unless thats what you are into.

The majority here are enthusiasts, not Nawz sprayin rice racers.
