i know a lot u guys street race or drag race so i would expect u guys to be part of a racing team or a car club. a couple of friends and i started a racing team called "Essentrix Racing" . we're still recruting people but so far we have an S2000, INTEGRA, CIVIC, ACCORD, JETTA, MONTERO, and a Z28. what do u guys have and whats your teams name?

when i first got in the scene in 95 their was a club called redline racing in orlando, these guys were no joke, 2 of my older friends were in it. one kid had a turbo integra in the 11's and at that time that was a big deal. but i agree with pissedsol, they are normally gay asses nowadays. now i just roll with my fast friends and thats about it no stupid banners.

little sticker on window "have you raced a redline car lately" friend had it back in the day, it was cool.

It's not really a car club or a crew. It's just a group of friends that hangs out and goes to races together and stuff. Thats just the website name.

He's talking about that very subject on Honda-Tech now... He's asking Ben to guarantee a 30 WHP increase or Ben pays for half the manifold.

He'll be faster here soon. He just picked up 60 more horsies over his last dyno by fixing a creep issue, and upping the boost to 24 psi!!!

That's jsut an SC61, too. He's looking at the SC67 now!!! Jesus, he's going hardcore. His block is 10:1 compression on top of all this!

On PUMP GAS, he made nearly 420 at the wheels on 14 psi.

That car is f'ing amazing. Would still be his daily driver if he didn't get comfy and buy a leather trimmed Denali pickup.

I agree with B... Most of the time, a crew with a name are just no bodies who wants to be somebody.. We just all hang out and race each other if theres no one to race, but right now the 'group' consists of:

I have mixed feelings about this. Back in the day we started a small gathering of cars. Called is some gay ass name. Then one day this other "club" came over and asked us if we wanted to merge, and this and that. Then next thing you know we have dues, meetings, executive board, i mean wtf. IT took the fun out of it and we made friends at first and then ended up enemy's.

Then I started a small gathering, really small with like 4 good buddies on monday night at a parking lot. There was no name, and it was jsut a time for us "friends" to meet up and go do shit together, race people if we wanted, shit like that. Slow or fast the purpose was that we all loved cars, period and we talked about shit we did, wanted to do, you know--window shopping

Then after a month the shit grew out of control, literally. We would fill the entire best buy parking lot with almost 200 cars and more at some points. Then it got gay, flashy shit, fights, people bringing out dogs, gangs, drugs, some kids even drank beer while at the gatherings, fucking idiots. At that point I left with the peeps that started it, well I should say that just decided not to go up there anymore. funny thing is that they still meet every monday. And last I heard some kid brought a gun, shot it at a huge truck that was raised like a mofo and then the truck ran over literally a new type R, i swear to this and cops came like crazy with helicopters and shit.

Now, I can't stand the scene, I like to do my own shit alone. But i was recently thinking of not really making a club, but just come up with a stupid ass drift kinda club wiht some of my buddies, but who knows. I have nothing to prove, just have fun, i guess i am really bored with nothing to do at home, shit i need a job.

well, it all depends on how you see a team. My crew is just a bunch of people that share the same common interests and we were hanging out together anyway, so why not have a "club". My team has no dues, we go out and have car washes and cookouts so we can afford T-Shirts, Decals, and other stuff. It's fun cause it gives us an excuse to always be hanging out, plus, it helps give you better street name so people get to know you better. When I first got into the scene, everyone just called me High Velocity. However, 3 years later, everyone in the Green Bay area(plus most of Wisconsin) knows of my team.

I dont know about flaunting team decals and stuff.. some people are cool with that, but personally i have no interest.. it just gives people a reason to start shit.. for example, say you let this guy in and give him all the goodies.. he seems cool a first but then he goes around talking shit and saying, " my team is the fasetest, etc etc etc." even though he has a slow ass car, you gotta back him up now because hes in YOUR team.. thats happened to the teams ive seen here and they always end up breaking up.. u dont need a name to be noticed as B has stated.. if you're fast, people will know.. im from redding in nor cal.. its pretty small but back a few years ago, 97-98, my friend just got a hatch with a SI-R 2/nitrous in it.. i rode with him a few times outta town to race (around the sacramento area) and people knew who he was even though he isnt affiliated with anyone because he was pretty damn fast back then.. low 13s..

yeah i kno hyperformance.. but i personally dont kno the owner.. however, man they talk a lot of shit and i havent seen one decent car they put out.. rumor has it, the owner drives around in a supercharged or turbocharged v6 accord doing 11s.. NEVER seen it, not even at the shop..so that shop is a bit of a joke around here.. dont really know it's rep else where.. alot of the 'performance' shops here are pretty weak, import wise.. the only shop i knew that actually had a project car was Top Notch, who started a b18c powered crx but never saw it through and closed.. so, what im trying to say is, shops here are wack and if you want a REAL performance shop to do ur shit, go else where like sacramento or DIY.

note : 13.2 was the fastest honda owned by my friend who did all the work himself

yeah i barely know the guy myself... but i do know that his shop has survived this whole time up there which says SOMETHING about it!!

as for project cars the only one i know of him workin on is a blue hatchback, automatic with a custom built torque convertor... i believe he did a turbo set up on it and so far best time is only like a 13.8... but i havent talked to him lately

endlesszeal Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2002 Posts: 2,068 iTrader: 0 / 0% Rep Power: 68	I dont know about flaunting team decals and stuff.. some people are cool with that, but personally i have no interest.. it just gives people a reason to start shit.. for example, say you let this guy in and give him all the goodies.. he seems cool a first but then he goes around talking shit and saying, " my team is the fasetest, etc etc etc." even though he has a slow ass car, you gotta back him up now because hes in YOUR team.. thats happened to the teams ive seen here and they always end up breaking up.. u dont need a name to be noticed as B has stated.. if you're fast, people will know.. im from redding in nor cal.. its pretty small but back a few years ago, 97-98, my friend just got a hatch with a SI-R 2/nitrous in it.. i rode with him a few times outta town to race (around the sacramento area) and people knew who he was even though he isnt affiliated with anyone because he was pretty damn fast back then.. low 13s..

NEVER seen it, not even at the shop..so that shop is a bit of a joke around here.. dont really know it's rep else where.. alot of the 'performance' shops here are pretty weak, import wise.. the only shop i knew that actually had a project car was Top Notch, who started a b18c powered crx but never saw it through and closed.. so, what im trying to say is, shops here are wack and if you want a REAL performance shop to do ur shit, go else where like sacramento or DIY. note : 13.2 was the fastest honda owned by my friend who did all the work himself
