I was just at the store and I never paid any attention to satellite radio. But for $119, I can get the whole deal and then its only $9.99/month. It has some pretty kick ass stations. I was flipping thru them at the store. I'm going on a trip this weekend and its an 8 hour drive, i thought it would be cool to try out, if i don't like it, I can cancel the monthly fee and then sell the radio on ebay, but I think I will like it.

I'm just looking for opinions, especially from folks that have one !!!

Get the portable units.

I have Sirius now, but if I had to do it again I wouldn't get the sub-par unitized equipment. Now I Want XM in all of my cars, but I have to pay for another subscription, or scrap my current impressive setup of hardware. Neither of those sound good to me.

Get the portable units.
