    stupid shutdown problem...

and yes, it is a true d15b block (JDM). It also has a p28 ecu & d16z6 electronics.... ARG!!!!

    stupid shutdown problem...

I have a 91 Hatch w/ a d15b swap..... This car ran great for about a year and recently decided to dump on me.... It started to stall while driving (after all of the gauges quit working) about a month ago. I checked everything, fixed a loose wire (in the fuse box on pass. side of engine...

    knock sensor location d15b

so I'm restarting a thread as the ecu one has gotten insane... I need to attach wires and one of them is the knock sensor. Where would this sensor be located on a d15b motor?

    vtec solenoid from h22

hey All, My 5 page ecu monster thread is a bit cumbersome so I'll start afresh. I did search, and came up empty. Will the vtec solenoid, wiring, etc. from my 92 h22 prelude bolt in place of the broken vtec setup on my civic (swapped in vtec setup, jdm d15, etc.)? I have the hatch with me...

WHAT THE CRAP>.... ECU under carpet

so she lives again.... fixed the body damage and the body kit actually looks better now than it did before. I tried an ecu I nabbed from a 91 hatch. no dice. Would start, but not stay running. I will get pics and try and figure out what ecu it is. I ordered a factory base map for the...

Dodge dakotas for brakes? w/ pics

but as an honest tech question. The frame is bent, is there any hope of salvaging this car? Or, should I start from scratch and use what is good?

Dodge dakotas for brakes? w/ pics

so apparently a dodge is not the best way to stop a civic..... guess I won't be worrying about the ecu anymore... Anyone looking for parts? hit hard enough to push the throttle into the strut tower brace... :whatafucktard:

WHAT THE CRAP>.... ECU under carpet

well, today only netted me a factory intake tubing (I don't like the "cold" air types) Anyone want mine? send me a case of beer.... :D I am going to pick up a base mapped chip and hope that helps. Any ideas on where to pick up a vtec solenoid for this thing. Out of 10 civics, all had...

    awsome gas mileage??

91 hatch with jdm d15b. The lowest average I've had is 41 mpg. Got 43 out of the last tank.... hopefully it will get better once it actually passes emissions

WHAT THE CRAP>.... ECU under carpet

so todays yard finds should yeild hopefully a p28 (from :Most likely need to find a 92-95 Civic EX Sedan or 93-95 Civic EX Coupe. But if you run into a 92-95 Civic Si hatch (which is more rare to find) that VTEC clip works too. Even a 92-95 VX hatch plugs should work. I am not sure but maybe...

WHAT THE CRAP>.... ECU under carpet

Damn, I knew it couldn't be so easy.... I am in CO. SI will send me a stock mapped ecu for $25. Perhaps it is worth it to just eliminate one more possbility?

WHAT THE CRAP>.... ECU under carpet

Yah, I am wondering who to go to for a stock base mapped chip. Also, I suppose I'll have to do some junkyarding and pull a working vtec setup from another car. I didn't know they checked for proper operation of the CEL. I pulled the lights... guess that was a mistake. this sucks...

WHAT THE CRAP>.... ECU under carpet

We removed the chip and that didn't work at all. It idled at about 2k and overheated so quickly the damn thing nearly burst the top radiator hose. Kevin, I did take your advice and cut the jumper. This is when it blew the highest on nOx. I bypassed the fan, so that it is always on...

WHAT THE CRAP>.... ECU under carpet

I just worry that getting another ecu might have me in the same situation of the basemap not being right. And, do you think it is worth it just gettting a d15b basemap chip for this ecu. That way I know everything is firing exactly as it was intended.
