My s2000, with the 9,000 rpm is going to be for sale if there is not a cheaper option than Honda's 1600 propeller shaft part. (a) is there any cheaper way to fix the part? it is the right, rear u-joint area. (b) If not, best offer gets the car.

I have a s2000, 2000 year, and the propeller shaft is totally worn and needs replacement. The part is 1600 dollars. Is there any cheaper option that using the Honda manufacturer for that part?
