HELP B18C SWAP 91 Integ DA

dont do it!! This is not a good idea because of many problems. First GSRs have hydro transmissions so expect to pay big bucks to convert it. Second GSRs are obd1 and you have obd0, so lots of rewiring for vtec, knock, dizzy, ecu, alternator. It's all different! Third b16's are cheap right...

91 crx si with b16 swap need help a.s.a.p

GSR b17 ecu is a p61 and it's obd1 pr3 is a JDM b16 obd0 unless it's a pr3-j00 or the pr3-j51which came from the JDM integra xsi with a b16 and it's obd1 also. Check for the -j00 or -j51 after the pr3. If you have one of thoses ECU's then you will need an obd1 dizzy, or find the obd0 pr3 ecu. I...

91 integra hatch b17 gsr swap

I meant as far as the electronics it would be a b16 swap. Yes you can keep your b18 engine harness and add the vtec and knock sensor wires. The pr4 ecu doesn't have vtec unless it was programed into the chip. I would rather have a vtec ecu over a chipped ecu. That's why I said to go with an OBD0...

Please help me get my CRX + D16Z6 to run OBD1

If your engine bay in the picture above looks like that running than you have a "wire tuck" harness which is nice, and expensive but that is a very nice way to do the swap with good attention to detail.

Please help me get my CRX + D16Z6 to run OBD1

The guy who did your swap must have installed a rywire(or someone) harness It seams to me he wanted to keep the p28 and jummper for obd1-obd0 and putting the stock SI ecu to run, so the ecu thinks its running a d16a6 with no vtec Just get yourself a p28 ecu and a obd0-obd1 jummper, I think...

Please help me get my CRX + D16Z6 to run OBD1

I could use this info too! I have a 88 hf rex and about to do the same build. I want to go with the rywire harness too just so I can unplug it and drop the stock one back in if need be. You will need the z6 dizzy injectors and wiring harness. Many honda OBD1 injectors are saturated which...

91 integra hatch b17 gsr swap

notice the jumble of wires along the firewall. I had to make my own sub-harness to adapt the b17 engine harness to my 93 underdash harness. Even though they were both obd1 to start with nothing lined up. I DO NOT recomend this! I have done several swaps and this is my fouth DA build so I know...

    D series rod FACTS!

yeah I still don't know for sure the exact limits of the d16a1 rods. The shape and design have more effect on strengh than size, but I'm willing to risk it. My build is under 250hp and low rpm (less than 8k) The d16a1 were rated at 130hp same as the ls motors so they should be good over 200hp. I...

    D series rod FACTS!

Forged my friend The facotry rod are forged. Look at the picture with the rods on thier side and you can see the raised wide die mark that runs up the side. On cast rods (cranks too) there is a sharp parting line. These bad boys are FORGED cause Honda is cool like that.

    D series rod FACTS!

all good inputs. my goal was just to show a cheaper option to the ls rods. my build is less than $400 and all parts are oem the ls rods are wider at the base with big shoulders above the big end(crank) where the strength is needed that's why they are lighter and stronger at the same time. as...

    D series rod FACTS!

Ok so what? they are all still stock rods. Well in some race classes like NASA Honda Challenge all parts have to be oem. You can mix and match with any engine and any domestic market including Japan and Euro spec parts as long as Honda made it, you can use it. This makes for some interesting...

    D series rod FACTS!

My measurments are for comparison only( it's hard to hold a camera and measure at the same time). This will give you a rough idea to look at before you go spending needlessly. First up the d16y8 block I'm using. These are stock p2p rods and pistons rod length=137mm rod journal (crank)=48mm rod...
