is this a joke? it is just a valve stem for gods sake. put air in the tire, and pinpoint where it is coming back out. if it is coming out of the center of the hole it is the "valve stem core" that is bad. if it is leaking around the base, it is the whole stem.

the reason the question was asked in the first place was an experience with the northstar engines. they have a tendency to rip the head bolts from the block when the engine overheats. this results in the need for a new block, and head, or a bandaid helicoil repair. none of these apeal to me if...
