I just don't get it, reikoshea. How can you read that thread and still jump on my ass? Why is it OK for Roughknight to imply that I'm a retard, but it's NOT OK for me to defend myself? Just because I'm a fuckin "noob"? I even apologized to everyone for having to put up with that shit and said I wouldn't respond to him, anymore. I'm 38 yrs old, been working on cars for over 20 yrs and own a business, selling parts. I'm the guy that everybody, around here, comes to for help with their research. There's no way I would post and risk all the "noob bashing" from all the wannabe "forum know it alls", without spending countless days looking for the answers, first. I DID google this, first. Every search, I could think of, from just "D16y8 intake manifold swap" all the way to "Automatic B18b throttle body on an manual D16y8 intake manifold" and every other phrase in between. As well as search every forum site I could find. AND, of all of the 6-8 forum sites that I posted this on, this is the ONLY ONE that I was bashed on and it was allowed by the moderators. Trust me, I know the IM and TB swap are talked about a million times, BUT nothing is specific about using an auto on a manual. Even Roughknight says that "If anybody had done it before they would have posted about it", so obviously, even he couldn't find anything SPECIFIC about it. I even read the thread that you pointed out, about a week ago. It gave me some useful info, but none of the posts actually say they used an AUTO TB on a MANUAL IM. Am I just missing something in my reading? I mean, will it all work fine, if I use an H series TB gasket and do I use one for an auto or manual? Do I have to make a block off plate, for the IACV? Do I have to make an adapter plate for the auto TB to work on the manual IM? It's just not clear about mating the auto to the manual. If you can clear all this up, my first kids nick name will be Reiko! But, I really think you "mods" should do something about the automatic "noob bashing" that takes place every time one of your "regulars" smells new blood in the water. Hell, ImportAtlanta warns, then suspends, then bans, even senior members for the slightest insult. Roughknight started off by implying that I was a retard, in his first post and NEVER offered an answer or any useful input. He just saw a "noob" and thought it would be cool to waste space, bashing me. Why is that OK? I don't know about you, but I've done Executive Personal Security and been a Club Bouncer, half my life and have NEVER put up with being insulted or talked down to, especially by some punk who's balls grow, every time he gets on his comp and thinks he can say whatever he wants, to anybody, just because they can't get to him. I'm just another car guy and Honda lover, seeking knowledge, not a hard time and not insults. Again, I'm really sorry that everybody had to read through all that BS and I will not reply to any other posts, from Roughknight. I know this has been long and drawn out and I appreciate you taking the time to read it and any clarification you can offer will be greatly respected.
