Thanks for all the help, I'm really glad I asked on here because if I hadn't I would have probably bought the d15b vtec that didn't have the three stages because I didn't realize there was a difference, and realized I don't even know where to look to find the three stage... I'll probably go with...

I don't race at all, I would like a decent amount of power though because the road from my house college is VERY mountainous and I would hate to be stuck in the slow lane w/ all the semis lol

I want the three stage one but all of them I find seem like the other one... (I should probably mention I'm 18 and don't know much about this, but my dad will be helping me along the way, along with a friend of mine who swapped a b16 into his civic)

I'm actually thinking of getting the JDM d15b vtec, I hear it gets great mileage at low speeds and above average at normal speeds, correct?

I was wondering what engine would give the best possible gas mileage in my '94 Del Sol S. currently my car has a d15 but the block is... well... I guess you could say chipped(long story short, the previous owner must have tried to pry the head off and now every couple of months the headgasket...
