The type 1's are good motors. They have head gasket issues however if you use 3.5 gaskets with the head bolts overtorqued to 63lbs and good coolant it will be fine. The engine has put out as much as 300whp NA in austrailia but that is the most i have seen. If you turbo a stock type 1 i have seen...
bump with info.
I am now running a stock c32a type 2 chip and she runs great! I believe i was running to much timing advance with not enough fuel before with a custom chip. Also i recalculated my compression ratio since i had to do a bunch of math for a custom C32 piston. I am running 10.7:1...
do the engine right and take your time. any dirt or grease/oil where it shouldnt be will lead to failure.
A few tricks is to lightly sand where the bearing will be placed so they inbed and dont spin. Also when installing all parts such as the cams etc i use STP oil treatment with a small...
If you knew anything about me i have gone way outside of the box in terms of swaps etc.
Also if you knew anything about the NSX, its an aluminum body with a subframe in the rear. If you knew how the engine/trans was setup for the RWD you would see you almost have very few if any options in...
I know more than anyone here about honda V6s probably except for the member above that had taken a few apart.
Then NSX block only shares similiarites to the C27a in the first legend. Thats it.
There is no reason to spend more money on a swap that probably wont go smooth.
I think you have...
Its the VSS. you can replace just the electrical part on top vs the whole unit. If the D4 light starts to flash it is defienantly your prob.
good luck.
I agree with you 100%.
Some of the cars are well done, others are complete crap. Some of the models are hot...others....lol..
I am concertrating alot of my efforts etc into the J-series. Incredible engine block and very "hybrid" friendly
thanks
thanks for the info!
and to be blunt most of the magazines are by the same publisher now(hence why some cars are refeatured). In one magazine i directed two emails to higher up writers etc for a special article in which they wanted unique swaps not done by shops etc and not sponsored. I wrote...
actually i dont read any import magazines now because of the misinformation written posted or lack of info.(mechanic by trade)
And as stated anything is possible with money but can it be done with OEM mounts being swapped around?Does Hasport make any mounts etc etc...
Sure a magazine can do...
hey guys,
Well my one bud has an Aveo...and well it seems both chevy and honda were in on putting one of a kind crap motors in these little cars.
What i mean by that is WTF is an L15?? So i my question is this...does it come in anything else(like a civic?) and if so does that mean there is...
first off nobody does swaps into an NSX.
second a supercharged NSX built right can produce over 500hp in a car that is nimble enough stock to beat supercars on a track.
So in my opinion if you can get this car, GET IT, however can you afford it?? If not, a person such as myself would love...
How many 260Zs actually were made?
how many with auto?
how many in that color?
how many with all OEM equipment with that mileage?
At the time that was quite the piece of engineering, iti s a collector car and has technology in it, despite it being old, that you as a typical "Car guy" would not...
